Inside
Inside, right now, I desire to experience something different. I want. I crave.
On the outside, what the world would see, I sit watching TV. What if all of us who crave for something more got up and did something more? Nope. Not today.
Have you ever..?

Thanksgiving Preparations
A little 'tasteless' humor...
Things You Can Get Away With Saying Only at Thanksgiving
1. Talk about a huge breast!
2. Tying the legs together keeps the inside moist.
3. It's Cool Whip time!
4. If I don't undo my pants, I'll burst!
5. Whew, that's one terrific spread!
6. I'm in the mood for a little dark meat.
7. Are you ready for seconds yet?
8. It's a little dry; do you still want to eat it?
9. Just wait your turn you'll get some!
10. Don't play with your meat.
11. Just spread the legs open and stuff it in.
12. Do you think you'll be able to handle all these people at once?
13. I didn't expect everyone to come at once!
14. You still have a little bit on your chin.
15. How long will it take after you stick it in?
16. You'll know it's ready when it pops up.
17. Wow, I didn't think I could handle all of that!
18. That's the biggest one I've ever seen!
19. How long do I beat it before it's ready?
and
20. make your number 20 in the comments!!!

Untidy Tides
If the waters are deep enough, you might never know just how turbulent and chaotic the currents run.
I remember growing up at the coast; brilliant summer sun, crashing waves, half naked frolics among the dunes. I grew accustom to swimming in the surf and keeping watch of my location by landmarks along the shore. The cross currents were constant, and near the breaker-line, as the waters shallow, could be underestimated. A few minutes of mindless play, and floating could find you blocks further down the strand than where one had entered. Countless times, I gave directions to salt water soaked tourists who had lost there bearings. Mostly, the currents where harmless, mildly disorienting.
Rarely, if the tide was high and the waters deep enough, a resending tide could rapidly tow you out to sea. The inexperienced swimmer might fight the current, flailing toward shore and ultimately yielding to the superior power of the ocean. Drownings did happen. I have seen the swollen, lifeless remains on the sand.
Today, the swirling currents of my being are running strong beneath the calm depths. Today is dangerous. I need to be careful with me.

Quote Worthy
"In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite." - Paul Dirac

Because of You
This song/video has to be one of the most powerful pieces of art I have seen in a while. I cried.
Because of You
I will not make the same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself cause my heart so much misery
I will not break the way you did
You fell so hard
I've learned the hard way, to never let it get that far
Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust
Not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid
I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake a smile, a laugh
Every day of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start with
Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust
Not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid
I watched you die
I heard you cry
Every night in your sleep
I was so young
You should have known better than to lean on me
You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain
And now I cry
In the middle of the night
For the same damn thing
Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I tried my hardest just to forget everything
Because of you
I don't know how to let anyone else in
Because of you
I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty
Because of you
I am afraid
Because of you
Because of you
